Abigail
Pidgeon

Abigail Pidgeon is an actor and singer based in Nottingham; she graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in September 2018 with an MA in Acting. Whilst training, Abigail played Elizabeth Bennet in a stage adaptation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and also performed at The Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham as a lead in ‘Crimes of the Heart’.

Since graduating, Abigail has developed and nurtured her industry connections in the Midlands. She was first introduced to the Copper team in 2021 when she was cast as Dorothy in Copper Entertainment’s ‘Oz - The Immersive Adventure’. In the same year, Abigail performed alongside Vicky McClure in Sirloin Films’ award winning ‘Good Grief’. She also completed the Estill Voice Training Level 1 and Level 2 Course.

It is very important to Abigail that she continues to learn and grow as a creative in the theatre industry whilst also being the resident acting teacher at Copper. This enables her to bring her experiences of professional work into the studio and inspire her students to be committed performers, but also supportive people to work with in the rehearsal space.

Last year Abigail played the role of Frankie in the R&D of ‘Critical Care’ written by Stacey Moon-Tracy. She was also cast in ‘Model Village’ as Holly/Jill as part of New Perspectives Theatre Company’s 50th Anniversary year. Most recently, she performed in Front Door Theatre’s production of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and has also been part of the development of a new musical entitled ‘Away with the Fairies’. Abigail is currently in the process of writing her DYCP application to develop her skills as a deviser and theatre maker; she is also learning BSL and is part of the Amplify Actors Collective at Nottingham Playhouse.
